This flight was the smoothest and most efficient I have experienced in a very long time. Maybe it was due to girl power…as all staff, including the pilots were female.
I pre-booked this flight well in advance and it was my cheapest option to fly from Madrid to Frankfurt. As usual I checked-in online and received my boarding pass on my phone to reduce hassles on arriving at the airport. I also travel with just carry-on luggage so did not need to stop to check in and only had to stop at security.
Boarding was fast and efficient without any form of delay or dragging line or gate chaos. It seems they are also very lenient with carry-on restrictions as some travellers had a larger sized rolling suitcase with a large backpack which also requires overhead storage.
On board the service was outstanding and all flight attendants were friendly and professional. All announcements were made in Spanish and English. The flight landed half an hour ahead of schedule due to “short-cuts” taken by the pilot. Sadly, we were then stuck on the tarmac close to 45 minutes due to a medical emergency on a different flight.
The seats on board were larger than usual and extremely comfortable. However, due to this, there is less space between you and the seat in front. This results in the tray table almost touching you when down, allowing no movement what so ever. There was also no on-board entertainment for the flight so those who aren’t nappers may want to bring a book or crossword puzzle. But if you dread using a bathroom on a flight, this one was a nice surprise. Even after an hour in flight it was clean, well kept and did not have the usual lingering toilet smell most air planes have.
